BJP leader Y Khemchand Singh was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Manipur on Wednesday, marking the end of President’s Rule in the state after nearly a year. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan. Singh, a 62-year-old legislator, was elected leader of the BJP legislature party a day earlier in New Delhi.
