Promoting Food Processing Through Green Technologies

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries promotes the adoption of green technologies by encouraging renewable energy sources such as solar, biomass and wind power in food processing units. Under the PM Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY), financial assistance is provided for adopting renewable and energy-efficient technologies, while ensuring compliance with environmental norms related to water, air and climate-friendly cooling systems.
